Design, Display

With company-owned renders, the Reno 9 series’ appearance is officially official. On the front, each of the three variants has a similar layout with a central hole punch and a curved edge. The dual camera system in the camera module of the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro is flush with the back panel. The triple camera arrangement on the Pro Plus features a little protrusion.

All three phones are expected to sport 6.7-inch OLED displays with 2.3mm bezels, according to reports. The display will have an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. While the 9 Pro+ will come in black, green, and gold, the Reno 9 and 9 Pro will only be offered in three colors: black, gold, and gradient gold.

Cameras

A 64MP primary and a 2MP secondary sensor are anticipated for the standard Reno 9. The 9 Pro will have an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP IMX890 primary camera.

The Reno 9 Pro+, which is the most expensive model, will be equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and an extra 2MP camera. Both Pro models will use Oppo’s MariSilicon X 6nm image NPU. A 32MP front camera will be available on all three phones.

Rest of the specs

Performance-wise, the base Reno 9 will have a 4,500mAh battery and a Snapdragon 778G CPU. With the same battery, the Reno 9 Pro can get by with the Dimensity 8100-Max chip. 67W rapid charging will be supported by both phones.

Similar to the Oppo Reno 9 Pro+, this device will come equipped with the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. It will allow faster 80W charging and have a larger 4,700mAh battery.

Oppo Reno 9 Series Launch Date

In China, the Oppo Reno 9 series will debut on November 24. The global launch date and costs are not yet known. The Pro versions will include inbuilt storage that can hold up to 512GB and up to 16GB of RAM. The base Reno 9, in comparison, will be offered with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
